where robustness is key

Passionate about what we can do for you

Offsite Construction is a discipline which innovates, challenges the norm, pushes boundaries and offers you huge potential.

After more than 30 years in the sector, we're still passionate about Offsite Construction and the opportunities it offers in today's increasingly demanding marketplace.  Repeatability, scalability, certainty of cost and build programme, consistent quality and sustainability are all proven benefits.

But for you to really make the most of all the opportunities and benefits it offers, Offsite needs to be done right... which is where we come in.

As professional MMC Advisors, we bring practical, hands-on, real-world Offsite knowledge, insights and experience to your project.  We know how to make things work, because chances are we've seen (and sorted) something similar before.

So if you'd like more reliable and faster build programmes; centralised control with fewer suppliers to manage; reduced risk and better cost control - and a host of other benefits too - all you have to do is ask.

Ours is a rare combination of technical expertise and commercial know-how;
headed-up by our founder Charles Westbrook.

Charles Westbrook

From single-crystal RB211 turbine blades at Rolls Royce; via a patented sliding head bracket and the first cost-effective, CFC-free injected polyurethane insulation for Portakabin; to designing the UK's first ever light steel frame housing system (which hung in the Science Museum), Charles has always been hands-on and results driven.

With over 30 years' experience of development engineering, project management and technical leadership in the UK System Building industry, his aim is simple: to deliver creative yet practical and sustainable solutions; meeting both client and stakeholder needs; on time and within budget... can't say fairer than that.

Charles is into old minis, old Range Rovers and even older canoes! He's sometimes found laying the odd course of blocks (progress on the 'studio' is very slow!) and enjoys a good pint.

Clare Westbrook 2.jpg

After many years as a freelance Technical Writer for us, Clare has finally joined Westbrook & Bell on a more permanent basis.  With a background in manufacturing industry and over 30 years' experience in B2B marketing and copywriting, Clare has worked with organisations large and small throughout the UK, Europe and the USA.

As well as offering copywriting and marketing expertise, Clare is passionate about good business and project management, and has lived with the 'Offsite world' for a very long time!  From product launches and exhibition presences, through promoting your systems and solutions, to arranging contacts and developing relationships... if it involves 'Offsite', Clare is here to help.

Clare moonlights as a classic Land Rover and military vehicle journalist; loves to travel; dabbles in art; paddles canoes; and enjoys spending time with good friends and a good glass of wine.

Susie Bell

Our co-founder Susie is now enjoying a well-earned retirement, but her ethos, enthusiasm, energy and name all live on in Westbrook & Bell.

As do all the services she provided for youbecause with a similar skillset and over 30 years' experience in industry and commerce, Clare is now managing the less technical, ‘soft side’ of your projects.

Susie is keeping busy as a puppy-raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind, and now has more time to enjoy going to the gym, travelling and drinking wine, too!

Whether it's panelised systems, volumetric modular, framing solutions, ICF, or a whole host of other options, our aim is to deliver solutions which work for manufacturers, contractors and clients alike.
