A repeat client of ours, PF Modular (Portable Facilities UK Ltd) supplies and installs modular and portable buildings. Offering new buildings, as well as re-purposing and refurbishing existing units, the company provides a turnkey service for projects from a small one-man office to a bespoke, multi-storey complex.

For this project with Tozer Seeds Ltd in Cobham, PF Modular was supplying and installing a new laboratory building for seed development.  Company owner and MD, Richard Crawford, called on us to help achieve timely Building Regulations compliance.

 

Involved from the early stages of the project, we worked as a team with PF Modular and Tozer Seeds, starting by creating a full set of drawings for client approval, then developing those into the definitive construction drawings. 

 

We conducted the design SBEM, making suggestions and finding solutions to ensure the building would be compliant with all the relevant regulations; managed the entire Building Regulations application process; and finally created the as-built EPC, to demonstrate the energy performance of the finished building.    

 

It was important for us that we provided the right project support to enable Richard and his team at PF Modular to do what they do best: delivering a great building for their client.

 

The build was successful; completed on time, to budget, and with full Building Regulations compliance.
